Catch me up on a topic I've ignored for weeks

A catch-up brief on what actually mattered while you weren't looking

Catch me up on [topic, company, or space] — I haven't followed it for [timeframe, e.g. the last month] and need to get current fast. Sweep credible coverage from that window: major news outlets, the relevant trade press, official announcements and company blogs, and the highest-signal Reddit or Hacker News discussions. Separate what happened from commentary about it. Build the brief in three parts: first, the 5-8 developments that actually mattered, in chronological order, one short paragraph each with a link; second, what changed structurally — new players, shifted consensus, narratives that died — versus where things stood before; third, what to watch next, with dates where they exist. Skip the incremental noise that ended up not mattering; hindsight is the whole point of a catch-up. Keep it under 600 words, written so I could speak about it confidently in a meeting tomorrow.
