Watch Reddit and Hacker News for my brand
A daily mention log with sentiment, hot threads, and a drafted reply
Every day, sweep Reddit and Hacker News for new mentions of [brand, product, or topic — include common misspellings and aliases]. Search Reddit broadly plus [specific subreddits], and Hacker News via its Algolia search, covering the last 24 hours. For each genuine mention (skip bots and bare link dumps): where it appeared, a one-line summary of what was said, sentiment — positive, negative, neutral, or question — upvote and comment counts, and the link. Read enough of the thread to get the context right; a complaint buried in an otherwise positive thread still matters. Lead with anything urgent: a negative thread gaining traction or a direct question we should answer, with a suggested reply drafted in a helpful, non-corporate tone. Then the full mention log. Zero mentions gets one quiet line. Keep it scannable — this lands in my inbox daily.
