Prep for each interview before it starts
A one-page prep sheet on the company, role, and interviewers before every interview
One of my calendar events is about to start. If it isn't a job interview or a call with a recruiter or hiring manager, stop and do nothing. Otherwise, prepare me for it. From the event and my emails about it, work out the company, the role, and who I'm meeting. Research what the company does, its recent news from the last [90] days, and each interviewer's background. Write a prep sheet with: a two-line pitch for why I fit this role based on [my background in a sentence or two], [3] questions they're likely to ask, [3] sharp questions I can ask them, and anything from our earlier emails I should remember. Keep it to one page with the most useful line first.
