Verify the professional credentials of [person's role and claimed credential, e.g. a contractor, financial advisor, or therapist] in [state or country]. Find the official licensing body for that profession and check its public lookup database directly — not third-party directories. Confirm: the license exists and is active, the name matches, the license type and any specializations, original issue date and expiration, and any disciplinary actions, complaints, or restrictions on record. Where relevant, check secondary registries too — NMLS for mortgage and finance, the state bar for attorneys, medical boards for clinicians, contractor license boards for trades. Output a verification table: each credential claimed, the registry checked with a link, what the record shows, and a status of verified, mismatch, or not found. Flag any gap between what was claimed and what the registry shows, and tell me clearly if a profession has no public registry in that jurisdiction so I know verification has limits.
