Sweep cold pitches out of my inbox with polite declines
Unsolicited pitches labeled and archived, with decline drafts for the borderline ones
Every weekday, sweep my Gmail inbox for unsolicited cold outreach — vendor pitches, agency offers, link-swap and sponsorship spam, sequenced follow-ups to pitches I never answered. Be careful about what counts: [what I never want declined, e.g. anything from customers, investors, candidates, or warm intros through someone I know]. If a sender is plausibly one of those, leave the thread alone and flag it in the summary instead. For clear cold pitches: label them [Cold Outreach] and archive. For the few that are borderline relevant to [what we actually buy or care about], keep them in the inbox and save a short, polite decline draft in my voice — appreciative, no fake interest, door left open. Never send anything; drafts only. Finish with a summary: how many archived, what got a decline draft, and anything you left alone because it looked genuinely warm.
