Screen new applicants into my hiring tracker daily
New applicants logged in your tracker with drafted replies awaiting your OK
Each weekday morning, process new applicants for [role]. Search Gmail for applications since the last run — both direct emails and notifications from job boards. For each candidate, extract: name, current role and company, years of relevant experience, location, links to resume, LinkedIn, or portfolio, and how they found us. Add each to my hiring tracker [sheet link] with stage 'New', skipping duplicates already in the sheet. Score each against my must-haves: [list requirements] — marking clear matches, clear passes, and borderlines, with one line of reasoning tied to evidence from their materials. Draft, but never send, a reply per candidate: a next-steps email for matches and a kind rejection for clear passes. Leave borderlines undrafted and put them at the top of my summary with what would resolve each one. Finish with the day's brief: new applicants, score breakdown, drafts created, and anyone exceptional worth fast-tracking today.
